A friend sent me this recipe. I put my own spin on her original recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds mushrooms, fresh
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt & pepper
  • 1 large white onion
  • 6 - garlic pegs, smashed & chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mccormick garlic & herb no salt seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream

How To Make mushroom soup

  • Step 1
    Clean mushrooms and slice. chop onions. smash & chop garlic.
  • Step 2
    Melt butter in large stock pot over medium heat Add onions cook 10 minutes . Add mushrooms, cook 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add flour, cook, stirring for 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add chicken broth and all spices, stirring until smooth and thickened about 5 minutes. Add garlic, stir well Lower heat!
  • Step 5
    REMOVE FROM HEAT ! Stir in cream.
