My family absolutely loves when I make this for dinner. It's so easy to make and sooo good. Nothing like homemade soup on a cold day. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does. I double this recipe to feed my crew.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms sliced
- 2 tablespoons onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour, seperated
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup half and half cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon thyme
How To Make homemade cream of mushroom soup

Step 1Melt butter in large pot. Add in onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until onions are soft. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and thyme.

Step 2Blend in 2 T. flour and stir.Add in the chicken broth and heat until slightly thickened while stirring frequently.

Step 3Stir cream with additional 1 T. flour and add to soup. Heat to thicken while stirring frequently. Serve and enjoy!

Step 4I doubled this to feed my crew, recipe is for about 4 servings.
