Gigi's Green Bean Casserole

We've decided to do the green bean casserole this year. So I figured this variation out.

del monte green beans, any style
1 can(s)
campbells cream of mushroom, or cream of celery
1/4 c
sour cream
1 medium
chopped onion
2 Tbsp
chopped pimento
amount of salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1 can(s)
french fried onions
1/2 c
bacon bits (real bacon) or several slices crisped and crushed

How to Make Gigi's Green Bean Casserole


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 f
    Saute the chopped onions in a small amount of butter, margarine, or oil until translucent.
    Stir into the canned soup. (You could use half cream of mushroom and cream of celery) add the pimento,sour cream, salt, & pepper mixing well. Pour into a vegetable sprayed casserole pan top with the crunchy bacon and fried onions then sprinkle a bit of black pepper on top.
  • 2Bake at 350 degrees f, for 50 min
