- 6 - tomatoes
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1 - celery stalk, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried and crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup yogurt
How To Make fresh tomato soup

Step 1Cut tomatoes into wedges and place in 1 1/2-quart saucepan with all ingredients except yogurt; simmer uncovered 30 minutes.

Step 2Strain to remove tomato skins and seeds.

Step 3Adjust seasonings and garnish with spoonfuls of yogurt.

Step 4NOTE: May substitute 2 pounds Italian plum tomatoes in place of fresh tomatoes.
