Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup onion, finely minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely sliced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach, minched
- a few dash tabasco
- a pinch white pepper
- a pinch nutmeg
- - salt to tase
How To Make fox valley's spinach, bacon & mushroom soup

Step 1Cook bacon until crisp, remove, add butter. Sauté onion, add mushrooms then slowly blend in flour. Whip flour (no lumps) gradually add chicken broth, then 1/2 & 1/2, heavy cream, spinach, bacon(minced), spices. Do not boil. Let simmer for about 15 minutes
