Ingredients

  • 16 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined and cut lengthwise
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 11 ounces salsa
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

How To Make florida shrimp bisque

  • Step 1
    Melt butter over medium heat. Add the flour and milk, stirring until smooth.
  • Step 2
    In a separate skillet, saute shrimp and onions in olive oil until the shrimp are opaque.
  • Step 3
    Add shrimp, salsa, sherry and Worcestershire sauce to the milk/flour mixture, and heat until bubbly.
  • Step 4
    Serve sprinkled with grated cheese, if desired. Really good with garlic toast.
