A recipe from my nephew, the chef. I love She Crab Soup and this is an easy one.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 - onions diced
  • 6 - celery hearts diced
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon mace
  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sherry
  • 2 pounds crab meat (picked through)

How To Make easy she crab soup

  • Step 1
    Melt the butter and saute the onions and celery. Stir in the flour to make a roux.Whisk in the milk and cream and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until it starts to thicken. Stir in seasonings. Fold in crab meat.Serve and drizzle the top with sherry.
