Ingredients

  • 6 large potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 - 3 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1 - 2 pints sweet cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margerine
  • 1/8 cup fresh chives
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 package hidden valley ranch dressing mix, dry
  • - water to cover
  • 1 pinch salt, pepper (opt)
  • ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup sweet corn
  • 1/2 cup carrots, grated
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1 cup baby portebello mushrooms, chopped or sliced

How To Make creamy delight potato soup

  • Step 1
    wash, peel and dice potatoes, place in lg. pot. add just enough water to cook potatoes, not quite enought to cover is better, but no more then just enough to cover.
  • Step 2
    bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 min. add diced onion. simmer until potatos are almost done
  • Step 3
    add remaining ingredients, except chives,and seasonings, simmer another 5 to 10 min. serve hot and garnish with chives. add salt and pepper to taste
  • Step 4
    If adding any of the optional veggies, add to pot with the potatos at the start EXCEPT the mushrooms, which can be added with the onions.
