Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons cream
How To Make cream of vidalia onion soup

Step 1Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in top of double boiler; add flour and mix well.

Step 2Add milk and chicken stock; beat with wire whip to blend together and keep smooth.

Step 3Saute onions in 4 tablespoons of butter, 3 minutes.

Step 4Add to soup mixture and cook 15 minutes.

Step 5Add salt, pepper, green onions and cream; stir to blend and serve.
