    chicken stock
  • 1 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/4 c
    green onions, finely chopped
  • 4 Tbsp

How to Make Cream Of Vidalia Onion Soup


  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in top of double boiler; add flour and mix well.
  2. Add milk and chicken stock; beat with wire whip to blend together and keep smooth.
  3. Saute onions in 4 tablespoons of butter, 3 minutes.
  4. Add to soup mixture and cook 15 minutes.
  5. Add salt, pepper, green onions and cream; stir to blend and serve.
