cream of cauliflower & roasted pepper pastina

For a quick cauliflower side or soup dish your kids will devour.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 3 cups cauliflower, small florets
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 dash garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup pastina
  • 2 tablespoons marinated rosted pepper finely chopped
  • 3 slices velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 dash black pepper

How To Make cream of cauliflower & roasted pepper pastina

  • Step 1
    Sauté the onion in the butter in a sauce pan
  • Step 2
    Add cauliflower and chicken bouillon granules And bring to a boil for 3 minutes
  • Step 3
    Add Pastina and reduce to a slight boil for 4 minutes
  • Step 4
    Add Velveeta, cream and pepper Cook at a simmer till the desired consistency
  • Step 5
    For soup add ½ c milk or more if you wish for a thinner broth. I also add toasted bread cubes for a little crunch.
