seriously, this is the best soup, but beware, not something to have everyday. Lots of dairy & fat. But man is it ever good...

Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh broccoli
- 8 ounces butter
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 quart chicken stock
- 1 quart half & half or whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
How To Make cream of broccoli soup

Step 1Cut brocooli in small pieces.. possible 1/2 inch pieces and boil in 1/2 cup of water until tender. Do not drain. Set aside for later use

Step 2Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add flour to make roux. Cook for about 3 minutes or so. Add chicken stock. Stir with a wisk and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, careful not to burn.

Step 3Add broccoli and water, half & half and spices. Adjust salt & pepper to taste. Heat to near boiling. Then serve.
