Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast (uncooked)cut into bite size pieces
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup grated or diced carrot
- 6 cups water
- 4 tablespoons better than bouillon chicken base
- 1/2 cup wild rice (uncooked)
- 1/2 cup brown rice (uncooked)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme (optional)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 cups half & half
How To Make chicken wild rice soup in instant pot

Step 1Place chicken, celery, carrots, water, bouillon, rice, pepper, salt, parsley, sugar, garlic powder, and thyme into the pressure cooker.

Step 2Lock on lid. Be sure valve is set to sealing. Pressure cook for 25 minutes.

Step 3Let pressure release for 10 minutes naturally. Then open valve to release rest of pressure.

Step 4Melt butter in microwave, stir in flour a tablespoon at a time. Ladle in a cup of the soup broth and stir until creamy.

Step 5Turn pressure cooker to 'saute' and add the flour mixture to soup stirring as it starts to thicken. As it thickens, add in the half and half.
