This is so quick and easy. I'm making for Lent supper at Church. You can adapt any of the ingredients. Spice it up or take it down. You cannot go wrong with this

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 5 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 8 ounces thin egg noodles
  • 3 cups frozen chopped broccolli
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 31/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 3/4 pound velveeta cheese cubed
  • - dash or 2 of tabasco to taste

How To Make cheese brocolli soup

  • Step 1
    In large saucepan med heat saute onion in butter until tender. Add broth bring to boil. Add noodles; reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Stir in Broccoli and garlic; cook another 3 to 4 minutes. Add milk, wine hot sauce and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. let simmer on lowest heat for 4 more minutes and serve.
