Ingredients For broccoli potato soup and grilled club

  • 3 lg
    carrots
  • 4 md
    potatoes
  • 2 sm
    heads fresh broccoli
  • 2 can
    chicken broth (14.5 oz)
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    cold butter
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 4 c
    milk
  • 4 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder with parsley
  • 6 slice
    bacon, cooked

How To Make broccoli potato soup and grilled club

    Peel and cut carrots into small slices. Peel and cube potatoes. Cut broccoli into small florets (not too small).

    In a large pot, combine the chicken broth with carrots, potatoes, and onion powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes.

    Add broccoli. Continue simmering for an additional 10 minutes.

    Use a large saucepan and melt butter.

    Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute or until brown.

    Whisk in milk and cook for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens.

    Add cheese and stir until melted.

    Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder with parsley.

    Pour cheese mixture into large pot and combine thoroughly.

    Crumble the cooked bacon.
