Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds broccoli, fresh
- 2 cups water
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cornstarch, mixed in 1 c. cold water
- 1 pint half and half
- 1 pound velveeta, cubed
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
How To Make broccoli cheese soup

Step 1Steam or boil broccoli until tender. Remove from heat, drain and set aside.

Step 2In heavy-bottom pot, combine half and half and 2 c. water. Add Velveeta, salt and pepper. Heat over medium heat until cheese is melted.

Step 3Stir in cornstarch and water mixture slowly. Simmer until soup thickens. Add cooked broccoli, stirring gently until all combined. Serve hot and just look how happy it makes your family!
