I used to take this tailgating when we had afternoon college football games. It was a big hit to warm us up on those chilly days.

Ingredients

  • 2 - onions, diced
  • 2 - stalks celery, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cups cooked broccoli, chopped and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 bottles cheez whiz

How To Make broccoli cheese soup

  • Step 1
    Simmer onion, celery and garlic in water til tender (about 10 minutes). Cool slightly then put in blender. Add broccoli, salt and cayenne.
  • Step 2
    Puree vegetables; pour back into pan, add chicken broth and heat until simmering. Add cream and Cheez Whiz; continue to heat until Cheez Whiz is melted and smooth.
