thick sliced bacon(cut into small pieces)
1 medium
1/2 Tbsp
self rising flour
3 c
chicken broth
5 medium
potatoes (diced)
1/2 c
sour cream
1 c
sharp cheddar cheese(shredded)

How to Make Bacon Potatoe Soup


  • 1Fry bacon until crisp. Add onions, cook until tender. Stir in flour until smooth. Add broth and potatoes. Cook about 1 hour until potatoes are done. Add small amount of the broth to sour cream, then add sour cream, cheese and parsley to soup. Cook until cheese melts.
  • 2Serve with fried or baked cornbread and a green salad.
