chicken broth to cover potatoes ( you may add water if needed to cover)
1/2 c
onions- diced
1 can
chedder cheese soup
3 Tbsp
butter (or more to taste)
1/2-1 c
millk or heavy cream (or to consistancy)
1 tsp
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp
celery salt (or more to taste)
1 tsp
garlic powder (or more to taste)
dollop of sour cream on top of each bowl
small handfull of shredded cheese on top of each bowl
1/4 c
bacon bits (or real bacon cooked and crumbled- for garnish)
2 Tbsp
green onion for garnish (optional)
How To Make awesome potatoe soup

Cut potatoes into one inch cubes and cover with chicken broth and water if needed to cover over 1/2 to 1 inch over potatoes. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and celery salt. Boil until potatoes are tender.

Add cheddar cheese soup, milk and butter. Smash potatoes just a little with a potatoe masher it helps thicken soup. If soup is too thin, you may add some corn starch and water to thicken.

Ladle into a bowl and add a dollop of sour cream, bacon bits, shredded cheese and green onions and enjoy!
