bacon, raw and diced
1/2 c
onion, sweet, chopped
2 c
corn, cut from cob
3 Tbsp
3 c
chicken stock
2 c
potatoes, diced russets
1 c
half and half
1 Tbsp
parsley, fresh sprigs

How to Make Sweet Corn Chowder


  • 1Render bacon over medium-high heat in a large sauce pan until crisp; add onions,and sweet corn and stir for approximately two minutes.
  • 2Add flour and stir for one minute; add stock and stir until smooth.
  • 3Bring to a boil, add potatoes and simmer for 15-20 minutes to desired consistency.
  • 4Add half and half,,and simmer 2 more minutes.
  • 5Season with fresh parsley, salt and pepper.
