This is my youngest daughter's FAVORITE comfort food! We like things a bit spicy in our house so I always use hot sausage and add fresh chopped jalapenos.

  • 1 lb
    pork sausage
  • 1 small
  • 2 clove
  • 4 c
  • 2 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup
  • 2 can(s)
    yellow and white corn
  • 2 can(s)
  • 1 can(s)
    green chile
  • 2 c
    monterey jack cheese

How to Make Shelby's Tex-Mex Chowder


  1. Cook sausage, onion and garlic until sausage is no longer pink. Drain Fat from Pan.
  2. Stir in Milk, cream of chicken soup, corn, Rotel, Green Chiles. Bring to a Boil. Reduce heat and simmer (stirring frequently) Uncovered for 20 minutes.
  3. Right before serving add the shredded Cheese. Enjoy!!
