This recipe was given to me by a coworker and it is yummy. I use both mild and hot sausage to give it a little heat but you could use all mild or all hot depending on your taste. Warning it makes a BIG batch!!

prep time 20 Min
cook time 2 Hr
method Slow Cooker Crock Pot
yield A bunch!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound mild sausage
  • 1 pound hot sausage
  • 2 packages cream cheese (8 oz packs)
  • 2 packages frozen corn (16 oz packages)
  • 4 cans cream of potato soup (4 reg size cans or 2 large cans)
  • 1 1/2 quarts milk ( use more or less depending on how thick you like your chowder)

How To Make sausage corn chowder

  • Step 1
Fry sausage and drain grease. Add cream cheese to sausage and heat so it is soft. .
  • Step 2
Cook corn in microwave for a while to get it thawed.
  • Step 3
Put all ingredients in a slow cooker and simmer for a couple of hours... or longer if you want. (You can do it on top of the stove BUT you have to stay on top of it so it doesn't scorch!!) Add salt and pepper to taste.
