red pepper, chopped

new red potatoes, peeled, cubed

chicken broth

broccoli, chopped

cream of broccoli soup

How to Make Sausage Broccoli Chowder


  • 1Drain corn, reserve liquid.
  • 2In dutch oven, over med heat, brown sausage, remove/drain.
  • 3In drippings saute celery, onion, red pepper for 3 minutes.
  • 4Add corn liquid, potatoes, broth and bring to a boil, simmering for 5 minutes.
  • 5Add broccoli, simmer.
  • 6Blend soup with cream, stir into soup, do not boil.
  • 7Serve with fresh bread and butter.
