This is a down home comfort chowder. We love it with garlic bread and a side salad. Since it’s just my husband and myself, we get to enjoy it a few days unless we have company!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced potatoes about 2 large potatoes,
  • 2 cups frozen corn
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup diced white onion
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper

How To Make potato corn chowder

  • Step 1
Place peeled and diced potatoes and corn in your crock pot. Add onion and bell pepper. Stir in flour and make sure everything is coated well. Add the chicken broth and salt and pepper. I used 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.
  • Step 2
Cook on low 6-8 hours or 4 hours on high. Make sure potatoes are tender. I mashed with a potato masher towards the end of cooking.
  • Step 3
After potatoes are tender, add butter and heavy cream. Cook an additional 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
Serve with grated cheese on top of each serving. Additional toppings bacon bits; sour cream. ENJOY!
