Ingredients

  • 4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon salt, optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 4 teaspoons chicken bouillon
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • - paprika

How To Make potato chowder

  • Step 1
    In large dutch oven or kettle, combine potatoes, onion, carrot, salt, pepper, parsley flakes and bouillon.
  • Step 2
    Add enough water to just cover veggies; cook until veggies are tender, about 15 - 20 minutes. Do not drain.
  • Step 3
    Measure 1 1/2 cups milk and add flour to milk, stirring with wire whisk.
  • Step 4
    Stir until blended.
  • Step 5
    Simmer for 15 minutes on low heat and thicken.
  • Step 6
    Garnish with paprika.
