Ingredients

  • 4 c
    potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1 c
    carrots, shredded
  • 1 tsp
    salt, optional
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried parsley
  • 4 tsp
    chicken bouillon
  • 6 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • ·
    paprika

How to Make Potato Chowder

Step-by-Step

  1. In large dutch oven or kettle, combine potatoes, onion, carrot, salt, pepper, parsley flakes and bouillon.
  2. Add enough water to just cover veggies; cook until veggies are tender, about 15 - 20 minutes. Do not drain.
  3. Measure 1 1/2 cups milk and add flour to milk, stirring with wire whisk.
  4. Stir until blended.
  5. Simmer for 15 minutes on low heat and thicken.
  6. Garnish with paprika.
