My husband loves New England Clam Chowder and so a good friend of mine taught me what to make it with and he loves this recipe as well as everyone else who tries it.

bacon, cooked plus drippings
3 Tbsp
butter, melted
6 medium
potatoes, medium cooked
2-3 c
2 can(s)
drained tins of clams
2 can(s)
campbells cream of chicken soup
4-6 can(s)
soup cans of milk


How to Make New England Clam Chowder


  • 1Melt butter in cast iron frying pan.
  • 2Add chopped onion and cook in pan.
  • 3Add bacon and cook with onions and butter until lightly browned.
  • 4Cut up potatoes into small pieces and add to frying pan.
  • 5Cover with mixture with water in frying pan and allow to simmer until most of water is gone.
  • 6Place mixture in soup pot and add clams,chicken soup and potatoe mixture.
  • 7yummy
