My husband loves New England Clam Chowder and so a good friend of mine taught me what to make it with and he loves this recipe as well as everyone else who tries it.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked plus drippings
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 6 medium potatoes, medium cooked
  • 2-3 cups water
  • 2 cans drained tins of clams
  • 2 cans campbells cream of chicken soup
  • 4-6 cans soup cans of milk
  • DELISCIOUS CLAM CHOWDER

How To Make new england clam chowder

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in cast iron frying pan.
  • Step 2
    Add chopped onion and cook in pan.
  • Step 3
    Add bacon and cook with onions and butter until lightly browned.
  • Step 4
    Cut up potatoes into small pieces and add to frying pan.
  • Step 5
    Cover with mixture with water in frying pan and allow to simmer until most of water is gone.
  • Step 6
    Place mixture in soup pot and add clams,chicken soup and potatoe mixture.
