My husband loves New England Clam Chowder and so a good friend of mine taught me what to make it with and he loves this recipe as well as everyone else who tries it.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium
    onion
  • 6 slice
    bacon, cooked plus drippings
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 6 medium
    potatoes, medium cooked
  • 2-3 c
    water
  • 2 can(s)
    drained tins of clams
  • 2 can(s)
    campbells cream of chicken soup
  • 4-6 can(s)
    soup cans of milk
  • DELISCIOUS CLAM CHOWDER

How to Make New England Clam Chowder

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter in cast iron frying pan.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook in pan.
  3. Add bacon and cook with onions and butter until lightly browned.
  4. Cut up potatoes into small pieces and add to frying pan.
  5. Cover with mixture with water in frying pan and allow to simmer until most of water is gone.
  6. Place mixture in soup pot and add clams,chicken soup and potatoe mixture.
  7. yummy
