my chicken & potato chowder

This is a thick and hearty chowder I make from time to time and it's filling...Really Good!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hormel cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced
  • 3 cups potatoes, cubed (i used russets)
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cans 12.5oz. chunk chicken breast, juice also
  • 1 can 14.75oz. cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup milk 2 %
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • - salt & pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup thinly sliced celery

How To Make my chicken & potato chowder

  • Step 1
    Mix your cooked bacon with your onions and celery and cook for 3 minutes. Add your potatoes and water, salt & pepper as desired and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Step 2
    Gradually stir in your cans of chicken, soup, sour cream, milk, and parsley. Do not boil. Simmer on low until warmed through. Salt and pepper as desired. Yum!
