My mother was of Asian ancestry, as I am also, but we always had a variety of main dishes and desserts that my dear mother prepared; her Corn Chowder and Lemon Meringue pies were great! I now carry on the tradition so that my children & grandchildren can enjoy. Thank you, Mom! XO

Ingredients

butter, cold
2 can(s)
campbell's cream of celery
2 can(s)
campbell's cream of mushroom
1 can(s)
campbell's cream of potatoe
4 1/2 c
milk, 2%
1 c
chopped ham
2 Tbsp
chopped onions
4
strips of bacon
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1 can(s)
corn
1 can(s)
cream-style corn
1/4 c
chopped celery (optional)

How to Make Mom's Corn Chowder

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown chopped onions in butter. Then add chopped ham. You may use left over ham.
  • 2Then add your cans of soups and cups of milk. Continue to stir while chowder is heating.
  • 3Fry 4 strips of bacon, crumble, and add to chowder. Sprinkle a dash of black pepper. Simmer and stir until ready to serve.
