hot dog chowder

My father use to love hot dogs and soup. So one day I was making my poor mans soup and put in some cut up hot dogs. Well it turned out to be one of his favorite chowders.

Ingredients
- 2 cups raw potatoes, diced
- 10 ounces frozen mixed vegetables
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsely
- 2 - low salt cubes of chicken bullion or soup base
- 5 - 6 - hot dogs, sliced into 1/4" rings
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk, 2%
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup chopped broccoli (opt.)
How To Make hot dog chowder

Step 1Place vegetable in a large sauce pan and put 1 1/2 cups water over them and add soup base and bring to a boil. Cook 5 minutes, add hot dog rings and continue to cook for 15 minutes more.

Step 2In a small sauce pan, melt butter and then add flour, stirring to cook flour, then add the milk stirring constantly. Now add to the vegetables and stir until mixed completely. Cook until vegetables are tender. If the chowder gets to thick then add some more milk.
