My family loves this thick and hearty soup, especially on cold winter days! It's easy to prepare and is satisfying to eat. You can thicken it with instant potatoes or top it with Swiss cheese, if desired.

3 lbpetite red creamer potatoes or potato of your choice

1green cabbage

1 pkgpolish sausage

1medium onion

4 cwater

How To Make hearty winter chowder

1Dice unpeeled potatoes, chop onion, chop cabbage into bite-size pieces, and slice polish sausage.

2In large soup pot place water, potatoes, onion, cabbage and sausage. Bring to a boil, then simmer until veggies are tender.

3Just before serving, add milk, salt and pepper.
