Slow Cooker Crock Pot


  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    green pepper,chopped
  • 1 pkg
    smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 can(s)
    corn, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    cream style corn
  • 2 tsp
    salt, or season to taste
  • 2 tsp
    pepper, or season to taste
  • 1 stick
  • 1 c
    half and half
  • 3
    russet potatoes, cut into chunks, skin on if you like
  • 1 1/2 c
    instant mashed potatoes, (thickener)
  • 4 c

How to Make Hearty Corn Chowder with Smoked Sausage


  1. Saute onion,green pepper, minced garlic & smoked sausage.
  2. In a crockpot, combine corn, cream style corn,russet potatoes & saute mix (onion,green pepper, minced garlic & smoked sausage)
  3. Add water & seasonings to taste, stir.
  4. Cook in crockpot on med - high setting, depending on your crockpot.
  5. When potatoes are tender; add stick of butter, half & half and instant potatoes.
