Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 2 - potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 125 milliliters water
  • 500 milliliters milk
  • 1 - knorr garlic & herb potato bake seasoning packet (or similar) (garlic herb sauce mix)
  • 2 x 400 grams can whole kernel corn
  • 400 grams can cream-style corn
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - ground black pepper to taste

How To Make creamy corn and bacon chowder

  • Step 1
    Crisp bacon in an oven or microwave, crumble and set aside
  • Step 2
    Sauté onion in a little oil and add potatoes and water
  • Step 3
    Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender
  • Step 4
    Add the sachet of KNORR Garlic & Herb Potato Bake, (or similar), stir in milk, corn, salt, and pepper to taste; continue to cook for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until heated through
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle with crumbled bacon to serve
