Ingredients
- 1 - lb. crab meat
- 1/4 - cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 - tsp. finely grated lemon peel, optional
- 4 - tbsp. butter
- 1-1/2 - tbsp. flour
- 4 - cups half and half
- 1/4 - cup dry sherry
- 1 - tsp. worcestershire sauce
- - pinch of nutmeg
- - salt and white pepper to taste
How To Make cream of crab soup

Step 1Saute onion and the lemon zest (if you elect to use lemon zest) in butter. Add flour and heat until bubbly. Add half and half slowly and stir with a whisk.

Step 2Add crab meat and simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Serve immediately.
