YUMMMMMMM! I LOVE cream of crab soup and so does my family. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Ingredients

  • 1 - lb. crab meat
  • 1/4 - cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 - tsp. finely grated lemon peel, optional
  • 4 - tbsp. butter
  • 1-1/2 - tbsp. flour
  • 4 - cups half and half
  • 1/4 - cup dry sherry
  • 1 - tsp. worcestershire sauce
  • - pinch of nutmeg
  • - salt and white pepper to taste

How To Make cream of crab soup

  • Step 1
    Saute onion and the lemon zest (if you elect to use lemon zest) in butter. Add flour and heat until bubbly. Add half and half slowly and stir with a whisk.
  • Step 2
    Add crab meat and simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Serve immediately.
