unsalted butter
2 Tbsp
flour

heavy cream or evaporated skim mik (hot)
1 c
chicken broth (hot)
2 pkg
frozen chopped spinach (drained)
1 lb
lump crabmeat
1
bay leaf
1 tsp
Worchestershire sauce
dash(es)
basil and thyme
salt and pepper

How to Make Crab and Spinach Bisque

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt butter, saute' all ingredients until done.
  • 2Add flour and blend well.
  • 3Add cream and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • 4Place spinach in food processor with chicken broth, puree'.
  • 5Add pureed mixture to cream. Season to taste.
  • 6Add crabmeat. Do not boil.
