    diced carrots
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 3 c
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 2 1/2 c
    cubed potatoes
  • 1 can(s)
    whole kernel corn,drained
  • 2
    chicken bouillon cubes
  • ·
    pepper to taste
  • 3 c
    shredded cheddar
  • 2 c
    diced fully cooked ham
  • pinch

How to Make Cheesy Ham Chowder


  1. In a dutch oven,cook baconover med. heat until crisp.Remove to paper towel,set aside.
  2. Saute onion and carrot in drippings until tender.Stir in flour until blended,gradually add milk and water.Cook and stir 2 min. or until thickened.
  3. Add potatoes,corn,bouillion and pepper.Reduce heat;simmer uncovered for 20 min. or until potatoes are tender.
  4. Add cheese and ham,heat until cheese is melted,add bacon.Sprinkle in parsley if desired
