1/2 c
green bell pepper, chopped
3 c
1 c
chicken broth
5/8 tsp
1.25 c
instant mashed potato flakes
3 Tbsp
blue cheese, crumbled
1/3 c
cheddar cheese, grated

How to Make Cheese Potato Chowder


  • 1In medium saucepan, melt butter.
  • 2Add onion and green pepper.
  • 3Cook and stir until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • 4Stir in milk, chicken broth and black pepper.
  • 5Bring to a boil.
  • 6Stir in potato flakes.
  • 7Cook and stir until thickened, about 1 minute.
  • 8Set aside 1 tablespoon each cheddar and blue cheese for later use.
  • 9Stir in remaining cheddar and blue cheeses.
  • 10Heat until melted, about 1 minute.
  • 11Just before serving, sprinkle with reserved cheddar and blue cheeses.
