A wonderful blend of potatoes, BACON..yes bacon, onion, Clams and cream....MMMMMMMMMMM Good!!!!

Ingredients

  • 6 - strips of bacon (fried)
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cups diced white potato
  • 1 bottle clam juice (shaken well)
  • 2 cans chopped clams (in this soup they are as good as fresh) and so convenient
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons flour

How To Make "big bill's vb clam chowder"

  • Step 1
    cook bacon and remove from pan, add onion and cook 3 minutes, add potatoes, clam juice, salt & pepper and simmer for 15 minutes. Add 2 cans of chopped clams with juice stir well, whisk flour into the milk and half & half and pour slowly into the clam mixture, add chopped bacon stir and simmer for 3 minutes. remove from heat stir well, ladle into bowls top with fresh black pepper and a dash of sea salt and ENJOY !!! Simply delicious, and your friends will think you slaved in the kitchen all day shucking and chopping clams....."secrets in the kitchen are...Good Secrets"
