Ingredients
- 3 pounds red potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 8 cups half-and-half
- 16 ounces soft processed cheese
- - white pepper to taste
- - garlic powder to taste
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 pound cooked bacon
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make baked potato soup

Step 1Dice unpeeled red potatoes into 1/2 inch cubes. Place in pan cover with water and boil 10-15 minutes. Until about 3/4 cooked.

Step 2In a dutch oven, melt butter and flour mixing until smooth.

Step 3Place over low heat and gradually add half-and-half, stirring constantly. Continue to cook until liquid begins to thicken.

Step 4Add melted cheese and stir.

Step 5Drain potatoes and add to cheese mixture. Stir in pepper, garlic powder and hot pepper sauce. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Watch closely and stir.

Step 6Place in a bowl and garnish with bacon and cheese.
