venison chili
This is very healthy. The only red meat we eat is whatever my husband can harvest. And during hunting season, we have plenty of venison.

- 1 - big onion
- 2 packages mccormick low sodium chili seasoning
- 1 can black beans (reg. size)
- 1 can great northern beans
- 1 can light red kidney beans
- 1 can diced tomatoes (big can)
- 1 can tomato sauce (reg. can)
- 1 cup water
How To Make venison chili
-
Step 1Saute the bell pepper, onion and jalapeno peppers in canola oil or olive oil; add venison and cook until the meat is done, not pink. Pour all the beans in a colander and wash them, and dump them in the pot - Then add everything else and let it cook covered about 30 minutes on low; then take the top off and let it simmer for about 15 minutes to thicken up.
-
Step 2I served this over brown rice.
