A thick and spicy, soupy one pot cooking, stew that will heat you up on a cold day.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 liters chicken stock
  • 1/2 pound potato's, flowery, raw finely sliced
  • 1/2 pound pork sausage, mild -in fine strips
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 can crushed tomato's or 3 diced fresh ones
  • 2 1/2 cups leek, finely sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/2 - 1 tablespoons sambal badjak
  • 1 - 2 pinches chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed, (if you want)
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch

How To Make tomato-potato ah, boloney stew.

  • Step 1
    Add all main ingredients (except the corn starch) to the simmering chicken stock.
  • Step 2
    Add spices to taste, but no more than stated, it will be hot enough for most people, remember that flavors first intensifies, then mellows.
  • Step 3
    Leave to simmer slowly under lid for 45 min to 1 hour, mix in corn starch, stir and wait until thickened slightly, serve.
