This is so good on a cold winter day..great with a side salad also..brings back childhood memories of Indiana..this will stick to your ribs and fill you up for the day..love it

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 medium sweet onion
  • 1 can v-8
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 2 cans chili beans
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How To Make thick turkey chili

  • Step 1
    brown ground turkey in pan
  • Step 2
    finely chop onion add to cooking turkey
  • Step 3
    add brown turkey,chopped onions,v-8,tomato past,tomato sauce,tomato puree,chili beans,cumin,chili powder and sugar to large cooking pot or crock pot.mix well,I like mine rich and thick you can add more v-8 for thinner chili and add more cumin & chili powder for spicier..bring to boil then simmer for an hour or longer ..

    serve with sour cream,grated cheese and crackers on a cold day.
