Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons garlic flavored olive oil
- 1/2 pound country ham, cubed small
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons grated garlic cloves
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 tablespoons dark ground chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin powder
- 10 ounces canned diced tomatoes and medium green chilis
- 14 1/2 ounces canned fire roasted diced tomatoes
- 2 cups good quality beef stock
- 3 tablespoons hot jalapeno jelly
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder

Step 1In a Dutch oven, heat the oil and brown cubed ham. Add onions and cook until soft, Stir in garlic first, then add ground meat and cook until color is no longer pink.

Step 2Add all remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered for 30 minutes. Adjust salt and chili seasoning to taste.
