Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegtable oil
  • 2 can(s)
    (15 1/4 oz) each kidney beans, drained
  • 1 lb
    shredded cooked pork or beef
  • 1 can(s)
    (14 1/2 oz) whole peeled tomatoes, undrained & cut up
  • 1 c
    fajita skillet sauce (lawrys)
  • 1 can(s)
    (7 ozs) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1/2 c
    tomato juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    chili powder

How to Make TEXAS FAJITA CHILI

Step-by-Step

  1. IN LARGE SKILLET, SAUTE ONION AND BELL PEPPER IN OIL 10 MINS. OR UNTIL TENDER.
  2. STIR IN KIDNEY BEANS, SHREDDED MEAT, TOMATOES, FAJITA SKILLET SAUCE, CORN, TOM. JUICE AND CHILI POWDER.
  3. BRING MIXTURE TO A BOIL, REDUCE HEAT, COVER AND SIMMER 20 MINS.
  4. MAKES 6 SERVINGS

    SERVE WITH MONTEREY JACK CHEESE OR SOUR CREAM ON TOP OF CHILI
