taco chili

I decided to not use a recipe when making this chili and just go with what I had in my pantry. I just threw caution to the wind and I am so glad I did because this chili was great! So, I wanted to save this one for sure. You definantly add to it, next time I am going to add green bell pepper and celery.

Ingredients

  • 1 can red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 1 can nalley chili with walla walla onions
  • 1 can ranch style beans (do not drain)
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pound mild italian sausage (cooked and drained)
  • 16 oz jars salsa ( i used pace picante resturant style )

How To Make taco chili

  • Step 1
    Cook sausage and drain
  • Step 2
    Drain and rinse kidney beans
  • Step 3
    Add all ingredients to a slow cooker, set on low and simmer for 3 hours
  • Step 4
    Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, and crushed tortilla chips, or top it with whatever you like!
