    garlic, minced (or 1/4 t. garlic powder)

    stalks celery, chopped
  • 1
    green pepper, chopped

    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1
    28 oz. can diced tomatoes plus liquid
  • 1
    28 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1
    16 oz. can pork & beans
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2-3 c

How to Make Sweet Chili


  1. Brown beef with onion, garlic, celery and green pepper. Drain grease off.
  2. Add chili powder, salt, cumin, pepper and oregano to the hamburger mixture.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, pork & beans and brown sugar. Add water to desired thickness--about 2-3 cups.
  4. Simmer on low for an hour or two.
