spicy chili with beans
I added more time for prep because of the dry red kidney beans. Once the beans are done, takes about half an hour. This recipe has a little more spice and smokey flavor than most. It is a mixture of several family recipes and will keep you wanting more.

- 1 bag red kidney beans
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 can fire roasted tomatoes
- 1/2 cup medium hot salsa
- 1 small white onions
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon sage, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika, smoked
How To Make spicy chili with beans

Step 1Soak and cook kidney beans according to instructions on bag

Step 2In a large skillet brown the hamburger with onions until fully cooked.

Step 3In a medium size sauce pan add tomatoes and spices. Cook for 15 minutes on medium.

Step 4Lower to a simmer, add kidney beans and meat, cook an additional 15 minutes.
