Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon each black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, & oregan
  • 1/4 cup each chili powder, paprika, and dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • shredded cheddar cheese and scallions for serving

How To Make red chili no beans

  • Step 1
    In a bowl mixt the black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, salt, chili powder, paprika and brown sugar together. In another bowl mix the water and flour together. Set aside In a large Dutch oven add the ground beef and the onion. Cook until the ground beef is no longer pink. Add the season mixture and tomato sauce. Cook until well incorporated.
  • Step 2
    Add the flour mixture. Stir well. Simmer over medium low heat for 30 minutes. Add water if needed if it gets to thick. Be sure to simmer 30 minutes to cook out the flour
  • Step 3
    Taste and adjust for seasoning. Serve topped with Cheddar cheese and scallions.
