We make this in massive quantities in the winter and invite friends and family over. Any leftovers get portioned out and sent home or frozen. It is a yummy way to share love!!!

Even better the day after.

Serve with choices of cheese, sour cream, or onions for personalization of flavors.

  • 3 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 medium
    onions - chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic - minced
  • 2 1/2 c
    tomato juice
  • 16 oz
    tomatoes - diced with liquid
  • 16 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 2 - 15 oz
    cans of chili beans with chili gravy

How to Make Just Chillin' Chili


  1. Brown beef, onions, and garlic, drain fat.
  2. Stir in tomato juice, tomatoes with liquid, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, organo, and cumin.

    Simmer for 1 hour.
  3. Stir in beans and simmer an additional hour
