This recipe was given to me by a co-worker at Texas A&M University about 1978. We make it every year and it is definitely a family favorite in cool weather. Enjoy.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground beef cooked
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 2 cans 6 oz tomato paste
- 2 cans tomatoes, canned and chopped, with liquid
- 2 cans water
- 2 cloves garlic mashed
- 1 tablespoon chili powder (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon cumin ground
- 1/2 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 2 cans pinto beans
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make mexican chili

Step 1Place all ingredients in large Dutch oven and simmer 3 hours. I like to use the crock pot on low for the day.
