My family loves this recipe, because they can enjoy it like a soup or if I make burritos, they can smother them in a sauce. Keeps you warm on a cold winters night. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups left over meat: cooked prime rib or pork
  • 1 - med onion chopped
  • 2 cans whole green chilis
  • 1 package brown gravy mix
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 - 3 cups water to cover
  • - garnish: sour cream, green onions, cheddar cheese

How To Make green chili

  • Step 1
    Toss leftover meat into crock pot. Chop onion & green chili's add to crock pot. Seasonings, & water. Simmer on low for a few hours.
  • Step 2
    Make gravy per package instructions. Let cool, in separate bowl scramble egg, add egg to cool gravy. Ladle warm green chili mixture to gravy, this allows gravy/egg mixture to temper. Stir. Add mixture to Crock pot. Serve when ready.
