green burrito chili

Recipe i came up with years ago...just cuz i love green chiles! =^.~=

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 package chili-o seasoning
  • 1 package lawry's burrito seasoning
  • 4 cans pinto beans
  • 2 cans chopped green chiles
  • - note - serve over cornbread, with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions

How To Make green burrito chili

  • Step 1
    Brown beef and onion; drain.
  • Step 2
    Stir seasonings into beef and onion.
  • Step 3
    Add beans and green chiles. Using can from beans, add just enough water if needed, to make a thick sauce.
  • Step 4
    Simmer for 10 minutes until heated through...adding additional water if needed as it cooks because seasonings have a thickening agent. Be sure to scrape bottom occasionally so it doesn't stick.
  • Step 5
    Spoon over cornbread and top with sour cream, cheese and green onions, if desired
